When Hart was released
from prison he needed money, he shot Angela Wooliscroft
during a bank raid in Richmond, Surrey. She was shot in
the left carotid artery from a sawn-off shotgun.
The shot that Angela had been killed with proved a
confusing area in the investigation, as it was a different
type to the one found in the possession of Michael Hart
when he was arrested. However, it was discovered that
Hart's shot was actually from a batch that had been
mislabelled in the factory.
Hart was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a
recommendation that serve a minimum of 25 years.
