On Monday night 10th November 2003 a woman was bundled into a car in the car park of her workplace - Vauxhall Motors in Osborne Road, Luton. She was taken to a nearby house and raped. Having been a Samaritan in the past the woman used her experience, and talked the man in to letting her go. She reported the incident to the police, on arrival at the house police found the body of a dead woman, it is believe she died from multiple stab wounds. Police initially arrested three men, releasing two after initial questioning.
Bedfordshire Police confirmed on Wednesday 12th November that the body of 44-year-old Collette Magee was discovered by officers at her home at Marlow Avenue, Luton on Monday night.

A man has pleaded guilty to the murder of Collette.
Matthew Thomas, aged 43, of Dallow Road, Luton unexpectedly pleaded guilty to murder, two counts of rape, indecent assault and kidnap.
