Sunday 25th January 2009, Michael Eccles had
popped to the local shop, he was coming out of the shop
when Keatley and Carroll who had both been drinking all
day, and were "Looking for a fight" they exchanged words
and the two chased Mr Eccles down the road. They kicked
and punched him to the floor, then stamped on his head,
he died the next day of his injuries.
Tuesday 11th August 2009,
Keatley and Carroll were found guilty of murdering
Michael Eccles.
Friday 2nd October 2009,
Carl Keatley must serve a minimum of 13 years and Jordan
Carroll was given a minimum of 11 years.
Jordan Carroll's father
Edward Carroll, aged 55, was found guilty of perverting
the course of justice, he was sentenced to three years
in prison.
