Arthur Simpson-Kent

Former actress in the British soap-opera, Eastenders, Sian Blake had Motor Neuron disease. She had spoken to her mother about leaving Simpson-Kent and moving home with her children, 8-yeasr-0old Zachary and 4-yeat-old Anon.

Monday 14th December 2015, Simpson-Kent killed his long term partner and their two children. He attacked them with an axe then using a knife to stab to ensure his deed was done. He then calmly wrapped the bodies, buried them in the back garden, cleaned the house, and even painted over some of the blood stains. He then booked a flight from Glasgow top Accra in Ghana.

Ms Blake's mother failed to get hold of her daughter for their usual daily phone call and launched a missing persons enquiry with local police.

Wednesday 16th December 2015, Police arrive at the family home to interview Arthur Simpson-Kent.

Friday 18th December 2015, police return to find the house empty.

Saturday 19th December 2015, Simpson-Kent flees to his native Ghana.

Tuesday 5th January 2016, Police discover the bodies of Ms. Blake and the two children buried in the back garden.

Sunday 10th January 2016, Simpson-Kent arrested at Heathrow airport after being extradited from Ghana.

Friday 10th June 2016, at the Old Bailey Simpson-Kent pleased guilty to the murder of Sian Blake and their two children.
Simpson-Kent claimed through his defence team that there ha been a suicide pact between him and Ms Blake due to her debilitating illness. 

Tuesday 4th October 2016, Sentencing hearing starts.
 
Wednesday 5th October 2016, Arthur Simpson-Kent is sentenced to life imprisonment, with a Whole Life Tariff imposed.
