Counsellor, psychotherapist, what the difference?
In essence none, the two words are interchangeable, some colleagues like to call themselves counsellors some prefer psychotherapist, same training, same talking therapy.
How can counselling help me? Good question.
Counselling is a talking therapy which is there to support you while you give voice to your fears, hopes, dreams and anxieties.
A counsellor is trained to listen to you with empathy (by putting themselves in your shoes). They can help you deal with any negative thoughts and feelings you have.
Counselling is a relationship that two enter into, together we find a path.............
Things that we can help with:-
  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Low Self Esteem

  • Anger

  • Relationships
  • Stress
  • Life Crisis
  • Panic Attacks
  • Bereavement
  • Eating Disorders
  • Drug issues
  • Alcohol Problems
