25th July 2009, Dr Gulamhuseinwala was walking
home after a night out when he stopped at 4am in
Queen's Walk, in Green Park, to call his girlfriend.
Connor and Paton had been
taking cocaine and drinking in a local pub, having ran
out of money they started wandering the streets. When
they came across Nadim on his phone, Connor ran towards
him, picking up an 10kg metal fence post, he beat the
doctor around the head, once on the floor the pair
stamped on his head, and robbed him
Unknown to the assailants
at the time, the whole thing was caught on CCTV.
Wednesday 5th August
2009, 11 days ager being attacked Nadim died
from his injuries.
Friday, 7 August 2009,
William Paton and Thomas Connor both aged 19 and both
from Orpington, South East London, appeared at City of
Westminster Magistrates' Court charged with the murder
of
Mr Nadim Gulamhuseinwala,
they were also charged with robbery.
They were remanded in
custody.
Monday 22nd March 2010,
Connor and Paton appear at the Old Bailey, both deny
charges of murder and robbery.
