Madgin was knifed 10 times by 15-year-old Jordan Jobson -
who had drunk lager and vodka and taken cocaine.
The young mother was attacked as she tried to intervene in
a dispute between her friends and two men in Wallsend,
North Tyneside.
Jobson claimed she had not
meant to hurt Miss Madgin, who was attacked on 2 August
2007 while on her first night out since the birth of her
baby son Callum.
The teenager, who had turned 15 only three months before
the attack, had drunk between five and six cans of lager
and three-quarters of a pint of vodka as well as several
lines of cocaine.
