Wednesday 3rd September 2008, At 7:36pm Rabina
called the police via 999 call to say her ex-partner was
banging on the door.
At 7:42pm :she called back
to say he had gone, and there was no problem. Then at
8:09pm her seven year old daughter made a 999 call
to say her mum was being attacked.
Police attended and found Rabina with severe stab
wounds, she died at the scene, having suffered 15 stab
wounds.
She had suffered stab
wounds to her neck which penetrated the carotid artery
and jugular vein, as well as knife wounds which had
penetrated her lungs and liver.
Monday 8th September
2008, Zakarya
Rezaie, from Cardiff, Wales appeared at Coventry
Magistrates' Court charged with murder.
Thursday 27th August
2009, The jury returned a unanimous gulity
verdict. Rezaie was given a life sentence for murder and
told he would serve at least 15 years.
