Saturday 16th August 2008, Sally Sinclair, a
Vodafone executive was found dead at the home she shared
with husband Alisdair, with 38 stab and saw wounds.
Weeks before she admitted to having an affair. Sinclair
was a house husband who enjoyed spending the money his
executive wife earned. He claims they had a disagreement
which ended with a knife fight, but he could not
remember killing her.
Thursday 29th October
2009, Sinclair convicted of manslaughter on the
grounds of diminished responsibility he was cleared of
murder.
By finding him guilty of
manslaughter by diminished responsibility the jury
accepted that Sinclair was mentally ill and that
substantially impaired his criminal culpability.
Friday 30th October 2009,
Sinclair is sentenced to nine years
